      @eightyeight I do it because after a week or two any of the few comments that I actually do get are automated spam.

      it's basically "proof of work" requiring javascript. if their javascript engine can't do the job, the comment doesn't get posted.

      it's eliminated 99.9% of all spam that comes through, with akismet catching the rest, and very few false positives.
